Description
(#24) Walter Dendy Sadler. Sotheby's. Retrieved on 8 September 2021. "Izaak Walton published the first of many editions of his famous discourse The Compleat Angler in 1653. It was dedicated to his dear friend and Scholar John Offley. Sadler captures the close nature of this friendship in the present work along with the idyllic English countryside, which is so beautifully evoked in the famous treatise."
