| Object history | Der schwarze Kesselhaken versinnbildlicht die erste Feuerstelle im Ort, der blaue Wellenbalken die „Basbecke“, an deren Ufer die Siedlung entstand. Die rote Mauer mit den drei Zinnen auf Silber wurde dem Wappen des Adelsgeschlechts „von Brobergen“ entlehnt, das seit dem 13. Jahrhundert in Basbeck Land besaß und dort seit dem 15.
