Description
Nederlands: Gedenkmonument, gemaakt uit losse (m.n. vleugel)onderdelen van het hier in 1943 neergestorte geallieerde vliegtuig, gevat in een betonskelet. In het rechtopstaande gedeelte is een uitsparing gehouden in het betonskelet, waarin een (nieuw) bordje met de datum van de crash is bevestigd. In het lage gedeelte is een langwerpige uitsparing gehouden, waarin de namen van de bemanningsleden zijn geschilderd. Op plaatsen die beschadigd zijn, werden in de loop der tijd nieuwe stukjes aluminium bevestigd. Voor het monument is een strook grond ten behoeve van kransen. Daarvoor ligt een rijtje stenen, waarvan een aantal bestaan uit klompen gesmolten metaal van het vliegtuig.
