Summary[edit]

Description The Lincoln Memorial is a marble monument to Abraham Lincoln, 16th President of the U.S. and President during the Civil War. It was begun on February 12, 1914 (Lincoln's Birthday) and dedicated on May 30, 1922 (Memorial Day). The view is from the east, over the Reflecting Pool.
