Description Watch tower at the Inner German border, near Hilders (West Germany), taken in August 1991. The nearest DDR villages in the Grenzgebiet were Unterweid and Oberweid. This watch tower may have been demolished by now. It was not part of any museum. This border crossing would not have been open since about 1952.
