Description
Nederlands: Waterballet / Dansende kikkers in de vijver bij Theater De Stoep in Spijkenisse. Vervaardigd door de Rotterdamse kunstenaar Albert Kramer, in opdracht van de Stichting Oud & Nieuw Spijkenisse, onthuld op 13 mei 2023 door Jeroen Postma. wethouder cultuur in Nissewaard. Het kunstobject is 6 meter hoog en 3.50 meter breed en staat op een rond plateau waardoor het kunstwerk kan meedeinen met de wind. Volgens Cees van Wijngaarden, voorzitter van deze Stichting, refereren de kikkers zowel aan de balletvoorstellingen in De Stoep als aan de tijd dat Spijkenisse nog echt een agrarisch dorp was met veel sloten waarin talloze kikkers zaten die er lustig op los kwaakten.
