Converted to SVG.svg
This diagram image could be recreated using vector graphics as an SVG file. This has several advantages; see Commons:Media for cleanup for more information. If an SVG form of this image is available, please upload it and afterwards replace this template with {{vector version available|new image name}}. It is recommended to name the SVG file "Wave-chirp-wavelet-chirplet.svg" - then the template Vector version available (or Vva) does not need the new image name parameter.

I took this picture off the computer screen of a realtime 3d data visualizer that I did with Shawn Becker on special purpose 3d rendering hardware, to visualize my idea of using chirps as analysis primitives (i.e. what I called the "chirplet transform").

Of course, with Today's much faster computers this could all now be done using an ordinary desktop computer.
