Description
English: World War II uniform model 1943 and personal equipment of a Gebirgsjäger| (light infantry mountain trooper) of Wehrmacht Heer, the army of Nazi Germany:
  • Field tunic (Feldluse M43). The M43 was introduced in 1942 and came into common use in 1943. Simplifications included the elimination of bellows pockets and the simple squaring of pocket flaps.
  • Cloth badge on right sleeve, with an embroidered Edelweiss flower as traditional enblem/insignia for German mountain troops
Exhibit on display at Hjemmefrontmuseet Rakkestad, a local museum in Rakkestad, Norway focusing on the war in German occupied Norway 1940 – 1945.
