Deutsch: Weinbergschnecke (Helix pomatia) auf dem Charlottenburger Ziegenhof (Blockinitiative 128 – Ziegenhof – e.V.), Danckelmannstr. 16, Berlin-Charlottenburg.

Helix pomatia (Gewönliche Weinbergschnecke) gehört in Deutschland zu den besonders geschützte Arten nach § 44 lt. Verordnung zum Schutz wild lebender Tier- und Pflanzenarten (Bundesartenschutzverordnung - BArtSchV) "Bundesartenschutzverordnung vom 16. Februar 2005 (BGBl. I S. 258, 896), die zuletzt durch Artikel 10 des Gesetzes vom 21. Januar 2013 (BGBl. I S. 95) geändert worden ist. Ausnahmegenehmigungen für den gewerbsmäßig Erwerb, die Be- oder Verarbeitung oder das in den Verkehr bringen der besonders geschützten Arten können von der zuständigen Landesbehörde laut §2 Abs. 2 BArtSchV auch für Helix pomatia ab einem Gehäusedurchmesser von mindestens 30 Millimeter erteilt werden. http://www.gesetze-im-internet.de/bundesrecht/bartschv_2005/gesamt.pdf Aug geschützten Grünanlagen ist das Sammeln von Tieren verboten.

Entgegen anderslautender Behauptungen im Internet wird H. pomatia nicht im Washingtoner Artenschutzabkommen [WA] (CITES) Stand Feb. 2015 aufgeführt. http://www.cites.org/eng/app/appendices.php
aber sie ist in Deutschland streng geschützt und das Sammeln u. ä. verboten.
