Devotees hold burning hay to show the light and way to the god Rato Machhindranath.

Summary[edit]

Description
English: Priests and devotees carry the idol of Rato Machhindranath to the Bungamati Temple during the last day of the Rato Machhindranath Jatra. Priests take down the god from its chariot in Jawalakhel and carried it to its temple in Bungamati in a palanquin. After crossing the nakkhu bridge, light starts to go down so locals burn hay to show the light and way to the god with a warm welcome.
