Description

de:Weiden in der Oberpfalz (Bayern): Das Gustav-von-Schlör-Denkmal steht zwischen der Jubiläumseiche vom Jahr 1824, die zum 25jährigen Regierungsjubiläum König Max I. gepflanzt wurde, und der Friedenseiche vom Jahr 1871. Es erinnert an den letzten bayerischen Handelsminister Gustav von Schlör (1820–1883), der 1863 den Eisenbahnanschluß Weidens erreichte und damit den wirtschaftlichen Aufschwung der Stadt begründete. Der Entwurf des Denkmals stammt von Architekt Carl Hocheder, München, die Marmorbüste von Bildhauer Theodor Haf.
