Description
English: Information board on the former port of the Jews in Westeraccumersiel, location on a meadow at Utkiek at the corner of Schöpfwerkstraße:

„ According to a map from the Aurich State Archives, at this place there was a junction from the port of Westeraccumersiel, the so-called port of the Jews. Behind it was the salt meadow of the Jews, on which Jews living on the dike grazed their cattle, whose meat they brought to Baltrum and Langeoog in small ships and sold there. This so-called port of the Jews with a salt meadow is likely to be unique on the East Frisian North Sea coast.“

„ Nach einer Karte des Staatsarchivs Aurich befand sich an dieser Stelle eine Abzweigung des Westeraccumersieler Hafens, der sogenannte Judenhafen. Dahinter lag der Judenheller, auf dem an dem Deich wohnende Juden ihr Vieh weideten, dessen Fleisch sie mit kleinen Schiffen nach Baltrum und Langeoog brachten und dort verkauften. Dieser sogenannte Judenhafen mit Heller dürfte an der ostfriesischen Nordseeküste einmalig sein.“
