Summary[edit]

Description
English: Fence made from baleen whale bones (lower jaw bones), a historical monument, seen in Toftum, de:Rømø Island, Denmark. The height is about 1 meter. Fences like this have been built because of a lack of wood on the island. This fence is the last one existing on Rømø Island. To protect from erosion, the fence is covered with a wooden lid.
