Deutsch: Rechts: Ein männlicher Weißbrauenkuckuck beim Singen in der dafür typischen Haltung. Links: eine Serie von Bildern mit einem Pärchen beim Duettgesang. Von oben: direkt vor dem Gesang, 2: Männchen (re) beginnt zu singen; 3: Weibchen (li) setzt in den Gesang ein; 4:Männchen beendet den Gesang.
English: Right panel: White-browed Coucal singing a solo song,showing the typical singing posture with outstretched neck andinflated throat.Left panelpair of duetting White-browed Coucals. The first picture (top) shows the partners immediately before duetting. Inthe second frame, the male (right) starts to sing; in the third frame, the female (left) joins in, thus initiating a duet. The last frame shows the male finishing the duetting sequence. In this case both partners were close together while duetting, but usually the two members of a pairwere spaced between 3 and 40 m apart when performing theircollective song. (Photographs W.
