Description
Deutsch: Der Zwinger ist ein Gebäudekomplex mit Gartenanlagen in Dresden. Das unter der Leitung des Architekten Matthäus Daniel Pöppelmann und des Bildhauers Balthasar Permoser errichtete Gesamtkunstwerk aus Architektur, Plastik und Malerei gehört zu den bedeutenden Bauwerken des Barocks und ist neben der Frauenkirche das bekannteste Baudenkmal Dresdens. Sein Name Zwinger geht auf die im Mittelalter übliche Bezeichnung für einen Festungsteil zwischen der äußeren und inneren Festungsmauer zurück, obschon der Zwinger bereits bei Baubeginn keine dem Namen entsprechende Funktion mehr erfüllte.
Български: Цвингер (нем. Zwinger) е архитектурен бароков комплекс, намиращ се в град Дрезден, центъра на провинция Саксония, Германия. Представлява комплекс от 4 здания. В него се намират разни музеи. Сред тях най-известна е Дрезденската картинна галерия „Старите майстори“ с произведения на Рафаело, Тициан, Рубенс, Рембранд, Каспар Давид Фридрих, Макс Либерман, Якоб ван Ройсдал и много други. Сред най-известните картини на музея е „Сикстинската мадона“ на Рафаело.
English: The Zwinger (German: Dresdner Zwinger, IPA: [ˈdʁeːzdnɐ ˈt͡svɪŋɐ]) is a palace in the German city of Dresden, built in Baroque style and designed by court architect Matthäus Daniel Pöppelmann. It served as the orangery, exhibition gallery and festival arena of the Dresden Court.
