Photograph available in Digital Collections of the Special Collections Research Center (http://dspace.wrlc.org/view/ImgViewer?url=http://dspace.wrlc.org/doc/manifest/2041/7806). Since Peale died in 1831, the painting itself is no longer under copyright restrictions. The University Archives that took the photograph has posted it online and open to researchers. Therefore, the photograph should fall under fair use doctrine for research purposes. |
