William Rock Of Stage Fame Dead. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; June 28, 1922. William Rock, an actor on the legitimate and vaudeville stage for more than 30 years, died today in a local hospital. He was stricken with intestinal trouble while performing here on the Keith circuit about five weeks ago. Mr. Rock was born in Evansville, Indiana, and his theatrical career dates from his eighteenth year, when he was a member of the Ward-Vokes show. For a number of years he was one of the Rock and White team. His home was in New York City, He will be buried beside the grave of his mother in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
