Description
Français : Procédé de réduction directe inventé par Wilson. Le minerai en poudre, mélangé avec 20 % de charbon (ou de coke) en grains, est chauffé à environ 500°C dans les cornues verticales (c). Une réduction directe du minerai se produit. Quand elle est finie, le minerai de fer préréduit tombe sur la solde du Four à réverbère où il est aggloméré en boule.
English: Direct reduction process invented by Wilson. The iron ore powder, mixed with 20% of coal (or coke) coarse powder, is heated at about 500°C in the vertical retorts (c). A direct reduction of the ore occurs. When it is completed, the direct reduced iron falls in the reverberatory furnace, where it is balled.
