Description
Deutsch: Der alte Kornspeicher (bzw. Getreidespeicher, Fachwerkspeicher oder auch Homeyer-Speicher) war ein imposanter Fachwerkbau im Stadthafen von Wolgast. In ihm (und seinem Nachbarbau von 1836) sollen die letzten Steine des Wolgaster Schlosses verbaut worden sein. Der in unmittelbarer Nähe zur Peene-Werft stehende, 1843 für den Getreidegroßhändler Wilhelm Homeyer errichtete Speicher wurde in der Nacht vom 6. zum 7. Juni 2006 durch einen auf Brandstiftung beruhenden Großbrand vollständig zerstört.
