| Description |
English: Not only do I drive my El Camino on a regular basis, I put it to work as well. Here it has just hauled a load of lumber down from Home Depot for a work project.
One of the first modifications I did to the car in 1996 or 1997 was upgrade the rear suspension with Hotchkiss control arms and a set of air bags inside the coil springs. So before I picked up this load, I was able to inflate the air bags and raise the bed a bit, to better support the weight. I think a future upgrade will be to install an on-board air compressor and gauge, like I have in my Yukon, so I can change the bed ride height any time I want, from inside the cab. |
