Description
Dewitt Clinton steam engine with a flat car and a passenger car. on a traveling display which visited Columbus in August of 1921. The display was pulled by Steam Locomotive #999 which was the fastest locomotive of it's day and hauled the Empire State express. The Dewitt Clinton was built in the 1830s and was the first train purchased by the New York Central System. Both locomotives were photographed while standing by the platforms of the Union Depot.
