Summary[edit]

Description

This is believed to be the remains of a TB-3 heavy bomber (although it could possibly be from a TB-1 (ANT-4). Designated the ANT-6 by Tupolev, the TB-3 was a four engined type which first flew in 1930 but was still in Soviet service at the end of WW2. Sadly, no complete example exists, so we can only hope that this wreckage will eventually be rebuilt into a whole airframe. At the time of our visit, it was all stored in the trees behind the restoration hangar. Russian Air Force Museum. Monino, Russia.
