| Description | The Wrigley Building in the Michigan-Wacker Historic District in Chicago (1924). It was the first major office building north of the Chicago River and was built to house the Wrigley Corporation. It was designed by Graham, Anderson, Probst & White, the successor to D. H. Burnham & Co. It is based on Seville's Cathedral. It was Chicago's first air conditioned office building. WBBM moved to the building in 1929, operating there until 1956. In 1931, a skywalk was added on the fourteenth floor to connect the two buildings. The clock tower is based on the Giralda in Seville, Spain. |
