Description
Deutsch: Wuppertal, Bahnstrecke Elberfeld-Oberbarmen vor der Rückseite des ehemaligen Verwaltungsgebäudes der Maschinenfabrik Rittershaus & Blecher, Wittensteinstr. 80, heute Teil der Christian-Morgenstern-Schule.
Auf dem rechten Gebäudeteil ist zwischen den beiden Fensterreihen der ehemalige Firmenname Rittershaus & Blecher noch gut abzulesen. Zwischen oberer Fensterreihe und Dachtraufe ist zudem das Wort Auerhütte erkennbar. Dies war der Name der östlich anschließenden ehemaligen Gießereihalle der Maschinenfabrik. Wegen der mit einem solchen Betrieb verbundenen Brandgefahr war der sog. Unterbarmer Wasserturm an der Südwest-Ecke des Gebäudekomplexes als Löschwasser-Reservoir errichtet worden.
