Summary[edit]

Description
English: Altar Sculptures. East Great Hall, Foguang Si

The long platform altar inside the East Great Hall enshrines three Buddhas: Shakyamuni (shown here), Amitabha, and Maitreya, with their attendants. The unfortunate iron grill was erected some time ago to protect the precious statues from thievery.

Identification of the Buddhas is per the temple's signage.
