Description
中文（繁體）：新埔陳氏宗祠興建於1868年，由陳朝綱籌建。1895年，日軍火燒新埔街，新埔居民奮力抗日，但終究不敵軍力，陳氏宗祠也在火災中被焚毀，後於1898年重修。陳氏祠堂的建築極具特色，無論是木雕、石雕還是彩繪都十分精湛，具有極高價值。

新埔陳氏宗祠規模為「二堂二橫帶枕頭槓」，面寬五開間，前堂中央三間為步口廊，中央天井兩側為三開間的橫屋，正堂後方為一枕頭槓屋，形成類似三堂二橫的格局。枕頭槓部分呈ㄇ字形單邊敞開式通廊，為較少見之格局。

陳氏宗祠位於新埔鎮的核心地區，以院門和樹木與街道區隔，是中正路的地標之一。前天井鋪有石板，庭內樹木與宗祠建築相得益彰。筆直高聳於祠堂前方的椰子樹，襯托出陳氏宗祠的氣宇軒昂，有別於位處靜謐的成功街與和平街，座落在中正路上的陳氏宗祠顯得格外特別。
