English: Leather crafting is an ancient occupation in the Yoruba people that is going into extinction in western part of Nigeria. Most families choose leather crafting as their main occupation and that what they are known for decades. In the olden days, most Yoruba families named themselves after one craft, occupation or business for proper recognition. One of them is leather crafting that no one is practicing anymore.
