Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The garden of the Demartinka estate in Prague's Smichov district, where the tapping of a secret military telephone line took place in a garden house in 1918. The photo was taken in 1919, when a reconstruction of the whole event took place for the (unfortunately lost) film "In Aid of the Agreement". The reproduction is from the book "In Aid of the Agreement", published in 1919. The light cross marks the tree where Očenášek's illegal connection to the telephone line was made in its crown. The thin wire of the wiretap was then led down the tree trunk to the ground and under the sod (protected by grass) to the garden house with a buried cable.
