Description
Deutsch: Der See ist aus der Tongrube der 1831 von Johann Egestorff gegründeten Ziegelei entstanden. Der später auf dem Gelände befindlichen Zündhütchenfabrik Empelde soll er als Löschwasserteich gedient haben.
English: The lake was created from the clay pit of the brickworks founded by Johann Egestorff in 1831. It is said to have served as a fire-fighting pond for the Empelde percussion cap factory, which was later located on the site.
Español: El lago se creó a partir del pozo de arcilla de la fábrica de ladrillos fundada por Johann Egestorff en 1831. Se dice que sirvió como estanque contra incendios para la fábrica de tapones de percusión Empelde, que más tarde se instaló en el lugar.
