Nederlands: Zevenhuizen 13-23, hoek Geest 2-8, Kanisstraat 2-14, Hofje van Paling en Foreest. Gezicht op Kanisstraat 2-14, vleugel aan de zuidkant. Rijksmonument. Op de achtergrond het park op de stadswal langs de Geestersingel. Hofje uit rond 1540, gesticht door het echtpaar van Paling en Foreest. Voordien stonden hier al huisjes voor zeven oude weduwes. Bij testament werd dit uitgebreid tot een hofje voor twaalf mannen en vrouwen. Eerst was het hofje katholiek. Na 1670 kwamen er ook gereformeerden wonen. Deze zaten in de vleugel aan de zuidkant uit 1583. Voor 1735 hadden deze geen raam en deur op de binnenplaats en kregen zij ook minder proven (gaven in eten, brandstof of geld). Na 1883 werd het aantal vrouwen uitgebreid tot zestien. In 1885 werd de noordvleugel gebouwd en ontstond er een omsloten tuin. Alle gebouwen zijn in de 19e eeuw vervangen.
