波斯，盖波斯匿王之后也，王子祇陁之子孙以王父字为氏，因为国称，释道安《西域诸国志》：揵陁越西西海中，有安息国，揵陁越南，波罗陁国。波罗陁国西，有波罗斯国，城周回三十二里高四□［丈］，皆筑土为基，城门皆有楼观，城内屋宇数百间，城外有寺一。百四五十里，有土山，涌泉下流向南山中，有鹫鸟噉羊，时时下地，衔羊而去，土人患之。有优钵昙花，出□［龙］驹马。别有咸池，出珊瑚、马碯、虎□［魄］、真珠、玫㻁等宝，土人不甚珍。交易用金银，婚礼以金帛、奴□［婢］、牛、马、羊等，以四疋马为辇，五彩为盖迎妇，兄弟把手付度。国东万五千里滑国，西万里极婆罗门国，南万里有又婆罗门国，北万里即（沉）［泛］𡒄国，大□［通］二年遣［使］至安□［驮］越，奉表献佛牙。
