English: Overview from the Erasmushuis of the city with rubble, in the area of the Hang, the Zijl, the Vissersdijk and the Blaak as a result of the German bombardment of 14 May 1940. In the foreground the Korte Hoogstraat, with the Schielandshuis and on the right the building of fashion house Gerzon. In the background the railway viaduct at the Binnenrotte. Year: 1941.
Nederlands: Overzicht vanaf het Erasmushuis van de geraseerde stad met puinresten, in het gebied van het Hang, het Zijl, de Vissersdijk en de Blaak als gevolg van het Duitse bombardement van 14 mei 1940. Op de voorgrond de Korte Hoogstraat, met het Schielandshuis en rechts het pand van modehuis Gerzon. Op de achtergrond het spoorviaduct bij de Binnenrotte. Jaar: 1941.
