English: View of the Wijnhaven area affected by the German bombing of May 14, 1940, as seen from the roof of the Nationale Levensverzekeringbank on the Boompjes, as a result of the bombing the center of the city was largely destroyed. In the background the Blaak and the tower of the Sint-Laurenskerk. Viewed from the south.
Nederlands: Gezicht op de door het Duitse bombardement van 14 mei 1940 getroffen omgeving van de Wijnhaven,gezien vanaf het dak van de Nationale Levensverzekeringbank aan de Boompjes, als gevolg van het bombardement is het centrum van de stad grotendeels verwoest. Op de achtergrond de Blaak en de toren van de Sint-Laurenskerk. Uit het zuiden gezien.
