| Description | This is the side of the QUIP package that is up (away from the printed circuit board) when inserted into the socket. The metal clip of the socket contacts the ceramic down the middle (between the contacts). Note that there are small contact pads for probing, which are electrically connected around the edge of the package to the socket contacts on the other side. Contact 1 is elongated, and contacts at positions that are a multiple of eight have a corner bevel to ease identification of contact numbers for probing. |
