Deutsch: Aufruf "Zu den Waffen" der Reichsregentschaft 1849 (Zeitungsauszug)

— (P. C.) In dem von der Reichsregentschaft unter heutigem Datum erlassenen Aufruf zu den Waffen an das deutsche Volk heißt es:: „Wir haben das Gesetz verkündet, welches die deutsche Volkswehr organisirt. Jede Stadt, jedes Dorf wird nach diesem Gesetz die waffenfähigen Männer von 18 bis 30 Jahren sofort unter die Waffen rufen; Schmach dem, der die Kraft hat und sich dem Vaterlande entzieht. Es gilt vor Allem Baden und der Pfalz die Bruderhülfe zuzuführen. Aus allen deutschen Ländern mögen Freiwillige in Schaaren den Bedrängten zur Muß eilen. — Deutsche! duldet nicht, daß die Männer, die sich muthig für die Reichsverfassung erhoben, dem Reichsfeinde erliegen. Bedenkt, daß die Niederlage dieser Tapferen auch Euch das Loos der Knechtschaft bringt. Zu den Waffen, deutsches Volk! Es gilt den heiligen Kampf für unsere Freiheit gegen schamlose Unterdrückung. Zeige der Welt, daß dein Herz groß wie dein Geist; zeige, daß das Herz Europa's, das man erstorben wähnte, noch in Begeisterung schlage für die Freiheit. Raveaux. Vogt. Schüler. Simon. Becher.“
