العربية: عمر مكرم بن حسين السيوطي (1750 - 1822) هو زعيم شعبي مصري. ولد في أسيوط إحدى محافظات مصر سنة 1168 هـ، وتعلم في الأزهر الشريف. ولي نقابة الأشراف في مصر سنة 1208 هـ، وقاوم الفرنسيين في ثورة القاهرة الثانية سنة 1800 م. وكان له دور في تولية محمد علي شؤون البلاد، حيث قام هو والعلماء بخلع خورشيد باشا في مايو سنة 1805 م. وحينما استقرت الأمور لمحمد علي خاف من نفوذ العلماء فنفى عمر مكرم إلى دمياط سنة 1222 هـ، وأقام بها أربعة أعوام، ثم نقل إلى طنطا. توفي عام 1237 هـ.
English: Omar Makram bin Hussein al-Suyuti (1750-1822) is an Egyptian popular leader. He was born in Assiut, one of the governorates of Egypt in 1168 AH, and studied in Al-Azhar Al-Sharif. Crown of the Supervisory Union in Egypt in 1208 AH, and resisted the French revolution in Cairo in the second 1800. He played a role in Muhammad Ali's affairs in the country, where he and scientists removed Khurshid Pasha in May 1805. When things settled down Muhammad Ali feared the influence of scientists Omar Makram to Damietta, he denied the year 1222 AH, and he stayed four years, and then transferred to Tanta. He died in 1237 AH. |
