Description
English: Common names - Sweet Broom Weed; goatweed .

Botanical name - scoparia dulcis . Tamil names – Kallurukki ‘stone melter’ ; Sarak koththini ‘orderly bunched’. Hindi name – Mitti paththi ‘sweet stem’; Goda tulsi ‘horse tulsi’ . This plant is famous for melting stones in kidney ; Plant is noted for its antiinflammatory, antifungal, antibacterial activities ; Used to treat diabetes and hypertension. It is used to treat ulcers ;For menstrual disorders ,this plant is utilised traditionally; Siddha practitioners handle this plant for jaundice and bronchitis; Remedy from piles is obtained from this medicinal plant . சிறிய , மங்கலான வெள்ளைப் பூக்களுடன் செங்குத்தாக வளரும் செடி இது; சிறிய இலைகள் கொண்டது; கிட்னிக் கல்லைக் கரைக்கும் என்று பரம்பரை மருத்துவர்களால் பயன்படுத்தப்படுவது; மஞ்சள் காமாலை மற்றும் ஆஸ்துமாவுக்கு இச் செடி மருந்தாகிறது;சர்க்கரை நோய் மற்றும் இரத்த அழுத்த நோய்களுக்கு இதிலிருந்து மருந்து தயாரிக்கின்றனர் .
