碑文

特調福建臺灣府彰化縣正堂、加六級、記大功二次、紀錄十次李，出示立碑以垂久遠事。 本年三月二十日，據總理林永、林衛，匠首鄭永旺，庄耆張追、楊舉、王字、林洽、張香等僉呈：「沙連保民附山居住，生產竹木縳結成排，由清、濁兩溪儎運出售。因東螺一帶溪邊惟張姓之人居多，凡遇竹排由觸口溪洲經過，藉埤勤索錢文；排夫劉承行、莊先進、黃克明等被索不甘，紛紛呈稟，彼此挾有嫌隙。道光三年七月十七日，排夫劉承行僱倩張受與等押運竹排出溪以防不虞，時斗六陳守府疑係罪犯悞拏解案。茲永等妥為調處，傳同沙連保劉遠、東螺保張媽超等酌議『以清、濁二溪儎竹從觸口溪洲經過，毋論大小首尾共四節為一排，定錢貳枴文，聽該總董當正舉出公正之人鳩收，年充沙連林圮埔天后宮及分配溪洲元帥廟為香燈諸費。』二比均各聽從悅服，取具兩造依結，已從民便，恩准詳銷並墾出示立碑」等情，合行出示勒石曉諭。 為此，示仰該處業戶居民人等知悉：自示之後，爾等務須遵照示諭，嗣後如有竹排由清、濁二溪經過，每一排只聽鳩錢貳百文，僉舉公正之人收取，分配二處宮廟香燈之資；不許藉端多索，以杜滋事。倘敢不循舊章，再滋事端，定即嚴拏究辦，決不姑寬。各宜凜遵，毋違！特示。 道光肆年伍月　日給勒石立碑。
