I'll initiate the discussion, good thing its spring break here, giving me some time to go around wiki UPLB. I don't have any sources though.... Just photographic memory, being a local, and miles and miles of running around the campus.

Some corrections/clarifications:

- YMCA = Young Men's Christian Association

- STCJP = St. Therese of the Child Jesus Parish

- Duhat connects to Narra at an intersection marked by (the now dilapidated) Station 1.

- Not sure if they've relocated but NCPC is next to Biotech, has it been transferred to BioSci? I could only remember that wing as Plant Physiology (or was it Pathology) wing.

- Road at the back of MailLib, next to Faculty Hills, leads to LGA & IRRI Staff Housing, not CFNR.

- Road after Sacay, next to Faculty Hills leads to BSP & NAC, not CFNR.

- Back of Chem Eng compound is OVCPD/SPMO & Garage.

- CEAT OCS is no longer at CEAT Wing A (since 2003?....) while CEAT-DO was never(?) housed there. Wing A is now ESD and IAE-LWRD. CEAT-DO was at AMDP until 2004(?). Presently CEAT Admin (DO and OCS) is at EE Bldg.

- IAE is not housed in Wing B but housed in different bldgs along Pili.

- DHort part before the Social Garden is Fruit Crops Division, while on the other side of the road is the Ornamental Crops Division.

- Lanzones has 2 branches after IBS (I know... its weird)

- Has the plan for REDREC changed? Is it under construction at the site located in your map? Previous plans as sponsored by Zubiri said they're gonna renovate ACCI into REDREC, while that spot in the map was supposed to be for the new SESAM Bldg (Dean Espaldon told our committee, then, that it will be constructed ASAP).

Other than those, good job on the map!

Suggestion: It might become too cluttered soon if all buildings and units are to be labelled. Would it be too much work to just divide the map with an alphanumerical grid system? I find that this technique by cartographers work best for maps involving a plethora of labels (thus widely used in big city transport maps) . On the map, only acronyms would be used while an alphabetized and categorized listing of units and buildings would then be included. And their alphanumeric location in the grid would be indicated next.

Here's and example by the CTA (see pages 3 and 4): http://www.transitchicago.com/asset.aspx?AssetId=150

As it is finals week in UPLB and you might be busy. If you need help on the grid thing, I could help out. - Meynardtengco (talk) 07:35, 24 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Ok. I've taken note of the label corrections. About the Duhat intersection, at which point exactly (coordinates would be nice)? I hadn't noticed it in Google maps (probably because of the trees). NCPC is now (has it been housed at another place?) housed in Wing C of BioSci. MBB labs are located in the annex connected to Wing A.
On IAE mislabling: My bad. I thought it was IAE's building because AE society's tambayan is there and I know quite a few people who have AE classes there.
On Lanzones: Yeah, very weird.
On REDREC: They've actually started construction about two months ago. And the tarp outside (now gone) there said it's REDREC. I cannot confirm now that it's actually part of CEM but I can swear that I read it on a noticeboard sometime before they started building it.
Yeah. That's a good suggestion. Hmm. I'll include it in the next version. I don't think it'll be much work. And yes finals week is quite ... hellish. I have chem and mcb finals tomorrow morning. Hahahahaha. What are you're thoughts on the CFNR and CEAT buildings that were omitted on the map? Do you think it'll be good to put them in a minimap?
