Murphy pioneered the disappearing top. It folded into a compartment behind the passengers instead of laying on the coachwork. The compartment got a metal cover. This made for a striking appearance of the car. The Murphy Disappearing Top Roadster was the least expensive body style listed in the duesenberg catalogue; thus it became the most "popular" too.--Chief tin cloud (talk) 13:41, 16 May 2012 (UTC)[回覆]
