Disputed description[edit]

I have now reached-out through a Flickr acquaintance who in turn has identified the bike's origins through the photographer, Martyn Ward via a closed Facebook group that I am not part of; as the bike was IMO mis-identified - clearly not using a BSA frame - and as the Flicker uploader had another album with acknowledgement that the content was not his own, I did not contact Martyn Ward myself, but sought initially to identify the machine through the tank-legend Tia Maria.

Although the Flickr upload description is still unaltered showing Tribsa, we have established that the bike was built by the brother of the uploader (Malcolm, believed to appear in the image and a motorcycle mechanic), and used a Norton Featherbed frame modified by the rider's boss to use a single top-tube and Triumph Tiger Cub fuel tank, together with an ex-works engine (see Triumph TR5 Trophy) associated with a well-known off road competition-specialist, Ken Heanes. So it's an early form of triton, although the actual date has not been supplied.

The frame's modification is similar to the layout of the Ron Hankin frame used for the Les Archer Jr. Manx Norton powered scrambler (see this website, scrolling down for the actual bike).--Rocknrollmancer (talk) 18:53, 27 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
