Green algae?

Never heard about green algae in YNP hot springs. Are the Cyanobacteria, sometimes called blue-green algae? In fact, thermophilic forms Synechococcus or morphological similar cyanobacteria are founf in YNP hot springs. Please could an expert double check this point. Thanks!
