Think it's been squeezed in the vertical axis to have height be exactly 50% of width. In File:A map of the Arab World with flags.png, height is 56% of width. AnonMoos (talk) 16:33, 24 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

And what of Palestine?

[edit]

The Palestinian territories speak Arabic, and Arabic is an official language of Israel.
The Spanish Sahara is not Arabic-speaking? Varlaam (talk) 08:02, 14 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

They're both disputed territories, and choosing the flag of one disputant could be considered offensive by supporters of the other disputant. And being Arabic-speaking isn't the only criterion -- neither Djibouti nor Somalia is Arabic-speaking... AnonMoos (talk) 20:18, 14 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Why is Eritrea grey? If it's not Arab why is it here at all? If it's Arab then it shouldn't be grey because it's recognised.--31.205.130.62 20:58, 14 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Nobody thinks that Eritrea is Arab, as far as I know. It's probably there to keep things contiguous (so that Djibouti and Somalia don't appear to be an island)... AnonMoos (talk) 09:08, 17 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Mauritania flag out of date

[edit]

The Mauritanian flag gained red bars in Aug 2017. The parent file https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Flag-map_of_the_world.svg has been updated accordingly. Could somebody who knows how copy that update into this file? -- 21:29, 17 October 2017‎ 2620:0:1000:1111:d88b:d9c2:123b:3825
