Sturm's Amelanchier vulgaris is actually the plant native in Europe, i. e. Amelanchier vulgaris moench, which is a synonym of Amelanchier ovalis medik. Sturm's Amelanchier ovalis is apparently a different species from America. But only the European species was drawn, so hopefully the confusion will remain limited to this page and to those people who read volume 8 of Sturm's flora. ;-) -- Robert Flogaus-Faust (talk) 20:38, 13 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
