Legitimate? It certainly appears to be

There is a rather persistent wikipedia editor who claims this photo is not actually Angus MacAskill, but rather a Confederate general named Solomon Meredith. Anyone can see that Solomon Meredith is clearly not the man in this photo, so that's that. To confirm that the man in this photo is indeed Angus MacAskill, one need only view the homepage of the Angus MacAskill Museum in Englishtown [1], managed by a descendant of Angus MacAskill named Peter MacAskill. This very photo is featured prominently on the site, and I think this should be confirmation enough that the photo is indeed Angus MacAskill. SolarFlash (talk)
