Hello. I disagree with the identification as Astraeus and I think it is a Geastrum. The red colour of the gleba is distinctive. If it were in Europe, perhaps it would be Geastrum rufescens, but I suppose it is an American species. Strobilomyces (talk) 07:36, 19 June 2017 (UTC)
