PD-shape?[edit]

Here @Jc86035: changed the license to pd-shape again. I'm not sure the image is simple enough to warrant that and further info such as similar images that have that license set seem needed since it would probably be @Douglal: 's decision which license is set on this and making it incompatible with RDTs that do not link to the file descriptions is not a sufficient reason to change it. @Prototyperspective: I have restored the original text for now. As it stands, if anyone uses this within {{Routemap}} it probably won't meet the usage conditions of the license, because there won't be a link to the file description page (and even if the template did link to images by default, it would be possible for the link to be unclickable if it were obscured by other overlaid content). I think the solution would be that a change to the template is requested. For example there could be some info page that lists all the icons used. Alternatively, maybe the uploader can make this change (linked above). Prototyperspective (talk) 22:40, 17 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, I don't understand what the issue is with the licence. I just created the SVG and uploaded it. Do I need to do anything? Douglal (talk) 09:13, 21 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No, you don't need to do anything – it would however be nice if you replaced {{self|cc-by-sa-4.0}} with {{PD-self}} under License since there are currently problems with using images with the former license in routemaps. If that is okay to you, you could click on the Edit button next to License and if not I hope that the routemap thing gets improved in a way that better enables images with the former license to be used.
