The uniforms worn by the infantrymen are blue with buff facings, which is indicative of the New York and New Jersey Regiments. Most of the infantry regiments had red facings. The blue breeches were indicative of the New Jersey Regiment, which was called the "Jersey Blues", because they wore blue breeches.
