Location of the car in this image[edit]

I'm recording these notes in case they may be useful later in clarifying the identity of this automobile.

Basically the same photo can be found on the web site of the contributor, Lars-Göran Lindgren, here, along with another photo of this car with its top up. Both are labeled as "Benz Victoria Vis-a-vis 1900". From what I know of the Benz Victoria and Benz Vis-à-Vis models, this car is neither of those, but a later model in vis-à-vis style; my current guess is a Duc.

Judging by the page name and file names, this was taken at a 1997 Swedish car show named "Utställningen Bilen". (However, since I'm not Swedish, and since this name seems to translate as simply "The Exhibition of the Car", I'm not certain it's the show's proper name.)

More photos of this car by the same contributor can be seen here, taken at the 2011 Bilsport Performance & Custom Motor Show at the Elmia Exhibition and Convention Centre| in Jönköping, Sweden. Again, it is labeled as a "Benz Victoria Vis-a-vis 1900".

I finally tracked down the car to its normal location, at the Västerbottens Museum in Umeå, Sweden. This museum has an exhibit page on it which identifies it as a 1899 "Benz-Viktoria". This puzzles me, because its body does not look like a Victoria-family body at all. Perhaps it's a "Victoria" style (remember that "Victoria" is first and foremost a body style name) from another Benz family.

For now, I still believe this is a Duc, because its body looks very similar to this car, identified as a Benz Duc of 1900 at the Swansea Maritime Museum.
