Dear Chatsam. As I can see, you have reverted the changes I have made in this file, as regards the Crown of Saint Stephen (or Holy Crown of Hungary) above the shield. You have used a stylized heraldric form of the Holy Crown from the end of the 18th century which is highly anachronistic in connection with a person (Mary of Hungary), who lived in the 16th century. For this reason, the crown I have used in the improved file is much closer to the reality, corresponding with the first authentic presentation of the Holy Crown from the 1555 Fugger Chronicle, as you can see here, and here. The same form of stylization is presented in the 1613 book of baron Péter Révay, the guardian of the Holy Crown [1]. This form of heraldric stylization continued throughout the 18th century. The form of stylization you have used, is to be seen first on this picture [2], which on the top represents the 1613 form of the Holy Crown, while on the bottom you can see the form of presentation, made following the 1790 scientific visitation. However, the 1613 type of heraldric stylization was used even on all coat of arms of the 18th century Habsburg rulers, as you can see here, for example. The present day stylization appeared in the Hungarian heraldry only at the end of the 19th century. For this reason, it would be better and much more authentic to change the type of crown in this file for the form I have used, or more precisely to this form: [3]. It is obvious, a person, who lived in the 16th century was not able to use a 19th century heraldric stylization in her coat of arms. --Szegedi László (talk) 12:47, 7 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
